A staylist is a curated collection of hotels and properties grouped around a theme, a destination, a feeling, or a style — and it’s the core unit of everything you do on Ddriftt. Your staylists are what your audience browses, what earns you commission, and what sets your taste apart from a generic booking site. A great staylist isn’t a database dump; it’s a point of view expressed as places to stay.

What makes a great staylist

The best staylists on Ddriftt share a few qualities:
  • A focused theme — “Coastal getaways”, “Honeymoon hotels”, or “Design hotels in Japan” give your audience an immediate reason to care. Broad lists like “Hotels I like” are harder to act on.
  • Personal curation — Every property on your list should be there because you’d genuinely recommend it, not because it fills space. Your audience follows you for your taste.
  • Real depth, not volume — A staylist of 8–15 carefully chosen properties outperforms a list of 50. Quality over completeness.
  • A coherent geography or vibe — Whether you’re covering a single coastline or a global theme like adults-only retreats, the thread running through the list should be obvious.
Some of the most bookable staylist themes on Ddriftt: “Honeymoon hotels under the radar”, “Coastal getaways”, “Design hotels in Japan”, “Boutique stays for solo travellers”, “Family resorts that don’t feel like family resorts”. Start with a theme you’ve already written or talked about — your existing content is your best brief.

Creating a staylist

1

Go to your storefront

Sign in at ddriftt.com and navigate to your curator storefront dashboard.
2

Start a new staylist

Select New Staylist to open the staylist editor.
3

Add a title and description

Give your staylist a clear, evocative title and a short description that tells your audience what to expect. This is what they’ll read before they dive in — make it speak to your taste and the theme of the list.
4

Search for properties

Use the property search to find hotels by name, destination, or property type. Add the ones that belong on your list.
5

Add properties to your list

Select each property you want to include and add it to your staylist. Reorder them to reflect how you’d naturally present them — your top pick first, or arranged by geography if that feels right.
6

Publish

When your list is ready, publish it to your storefront. It becomes immediately visible and bookable at your storefront URL.

Adding properties to a staylist

You can search for properties by:
  • Name — if you know the specific hotel you want to add (e.g. “Nihi Sumba” or “Borgo Egnazia”)
  • Destination — browse hotels in a city, region, or country
  • Property type — filter by boutique, resort, villa, and other categories
Add as many or as few properties as your theme calls for. You can return to edit and add more at any time after publishing.
Room rates, availability, and booking terms are set and managed entirely by the hotels — you don’t control or handle any of that. When your audience books through your staylist, the transaction and guest experience are managed between the guest and the hotel. Your role is curation and recommendation.

Adding hotels you already work with

If you have existing relationships with hotels — properties you’ve collaborated with, stayed at through a press trip, or featured in your content — you can invite them onto Ddriftt and add them to your staylists. To add a partner hotel that isn’t yet on the platform, contact the curator team at curators@ddriftt.com with the property details. The Ddriftt team will work with you and the hotel to get them set up.

A real example: “Coastal getaways”

The Coastal getaways staylist — curated by the Ddriftt team — shows what a well-themed list looks like in practice. It contains 13 properties spanning multiple coastlines and continents, including: The theme is clear, the properties are specific, and each one earns its place on the list — that’s the standard to aim for.

Managing staylists

After publishing, you can continue to manage your staylists from your storefront dashboard:
  • Edit — update the title, description, or any property in the list at any time
  • Reorder — rearrange properties to change how visitors experience the list
  • Add more properties — grow a staylist as you discover new places worth recommending
  • Unpublish — remove a staylist from your public storefront without deleting it, so you can revise and republish later
Your staylists are living documents. Revisiting and refreshing them — adding a new discovery, removing a property that’s changed — keeps your storefront current and gives your audience a reason to come back.
